GO2PETiD Tag – Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do GO2PETiD tags work?
A: Our tags use NFC (Near Field Communication) and/or a QR code to link to your pet's digital profile. When someone scans the tag with a phone, it displays your pet’s emergency info, contact details, and any extra notes you’ve included — no app or subscription required.

Q: Is there a subscription fee?
A: No! GO2PETiD tags are a one-time purchase. You won’t be charged monthly or yearly fees to keep your pet's info accessible.
Q: What happens if the hosting platform shuts down?
A: All registered tags are covered by our Tag Protection Promise. If the platform ever becomes permanently unavailable, we’ll provide a backup solution, such as a replacement tag, manual contact page, or upgrade offer — even after the 2-year coverage, we’ll do our best to help.
Q: Are NFC pet tags safe? Do they emit radiation?
A: Yes, they are safe. NFC (Near Field Communication) tags are passive devices — they don’t emit radiation continuously or on their own. They only activate for a fraction of a second when scanned by an NFC-enabled phone, and even then, the energy used is extremely low.
According to the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) and research on electromagnetic field safety, the emissions from NFC are well below levels considered harmful to humans, pets, or the environment.

In short: the small, occasional signal from an NFC tag is no more harmful than tapping your phone to pay for coffee.
Q: Can I update my pet’s info later?
A: Yes! When you first register your tag and create a profile with QRNFCID, you can edit your pet’s profile any time — update contact details, medical info, or upload a new photo.
Q: What if I lose the tag?
A: You can order a replacement from us directly.

Q: I saw a similar tag being sold cheaper on another website — is it the same thing?
A: Not all pet tags are created equal. If it’s not purchased directly through our official store or from one of our authorised resellers, it is not a genuine GO2PETiD tag.
