Pet Home Visit &/or Pet Minding/House Sitting

I. Liability Policies

Go-To Pet Minding agrees to provide the stated services in a reliable and trustworthy manner.

In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Go-To Pet Minding unless arising from gross negligence on the part of Go-To Pet Minding. Client agrees to notify Go-To Pet Minding of any concerns within 24 hours of returning home.

Go-To Pet Minding cannot be responsible for any complications pets may suffer or actions of pets whilst unattended.

Go-To Pet Minding cannot be responsible for pets that bite, suffer an accidental death or escape from faulty fencing or from inside the home due to faulty secuirty (e.g. locks, screens, doors, etc).

Go-To Pet Minding cannot be held responsible for pets that cause damage to furniture, carpet, flooring/woodwork, walls, etc. while pet sitter is not present.

Go-To Pet Minding shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet that the client has let outside or has instructed Go-To Pet Minding to allow outside while sitter/dog walker is not present. This includes pets with doggie doors and outdoor pets.

Go-To Pet Minding does not accept aggressive animals. Client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care, solicitor fees, etc) if client’s pet should bite another person or animal.

Client authorizes Go-To Pet Minding to obtain the services of a locksmith should a key/garage opener malfunction. Client is responsible for all charges.

Job sharing is not covered under our insurance. We cannot be responsible for your pet or home if another service provider enters your property while we are not there.

Go-To Pet Minding cannot be held responsible for any damage cost to lawn, plants, or any outside furniture.

Go-To Pet Minding will not be responsible for the death or damage of any indoor or outdoor plants for any reason.

Go-To Pet Minding will not be responsible for the loss of any rubbish or recycle receptacles due to wind or any act of nature or theft.

Go-To Pet Minding will not be responsible for any damage (inside or out) due to any act of nature.

Client agrees to reimburse Go-To Pet Minding for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care and lost wages) associated with contracting any ailments while exposed to pet(s).

Client agrees to fill out 'Pet Medical Information' form seperate to this document for each pet as a condition of use of the services stated. 

 

II. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Go-To Pet Minding reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations. This includes unsafe conditions based on natural weather events such as rain, hail, storms or natural disasters.

The following cancellation policy applies as follows and the Client hereby agrees to these conditions when booking with Go-To Pet Minding:

Off Peak and Short Term (Less than 3 weeks)

The Client agrees to pay a non-refundable 25% deposit to secure their booking request.

Cancellations/Date changes anytime forfeit the deposit.*

Peak Periods or Long Term Bookings

A non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit of 40% for high demand periods (public holidays, Xmas, Easter, etc) or any booking over 3 weeks in duration will require a non-refundable/non-transferrable 40% deposit.

Additional Stipulations (Off Peak and Peak)

Any Cancellation that occurs:

- Between 14 to 30 days prior to the service commencement date will forfeit the deposit, the full fee of the first day/visit plus an administration fee of $15.

- Between 7-14 days from the service date will forfeit the deposit, the full fee for the first two days of housesitting/visits, and an additional $15 administration fee applies.

- Within 7 days from the service date will forfeit 50% of the total booking plus an additional $15 administration fee.

*Deposit may be transferred to another booking/dates at Go-To Pet Mindings' discretion or held in credit for a future service pending time of cancellation/date change if outside of times specified.

Go-To Pet Minding can deny or terminate services due to safety concerns, financial concerns or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.

 

III. Emergencies and Medical Treatment/Care

Client agrees to authorize Go-To Pet Minding to handle any emergencies or medical circumstances (illness, injury, etc) that may arise. Go-To Pet Minding will make every effort to contact the client, however client gives Go-To Pet Minding authority to act in the pet’s/home’s best interest, abiding by the predetermined information below and be available at an hourly rate of $30. This emergency/medical care rate is to be paid to Go-To Pet Minding within 1 week of the end of the service dates.

In the event of an emergency/illness/injury, all vet fees/expenses for this unforeseen circumstance is expected to be compensated to the relevant veterinary clinic as per the clinics policy/procedure. Go-To Pet Minding will not be responsible for any veterinary expenses/fees unless arising from gross negligence on pet sitters part.

Go-To Pet Minding requires you to have a responsible party to take care of your pet(s) in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness and in the event of inclement weather or a natural disaster. It is best your emergency contact is a family member or neighbour so they can reach your home. Go-To Pet Minding is not responsible for pets in these circumstances.

 

IV. Bookings

Bookings need to be made early to avoid disappointment.

Payment is accepted via invoice, TAP PAY, SQUARE Reader, CASH or AFTERPAY**.

The total amount for the booking is to be paid no later than two days prior to commencement for short term bookings (< 3 weeks duration). Only once the deposit has been received by Go-To Pet Minding and a confirmation has been received by client, is the booking confirmed.

Bookings over 3 weeks in duration are subject to a non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit of 40% of the total booking. Only once the deposit payment has been received by Go-To Pet Minding and a confirmation has been received by client, is the long term booking confirmed.

In the event of additional unforeseen visits/days and/or other costs (such as food, supplies, or vet fees), these unforeseen expenses are expected to be compensated in full within one month of the completion of services or a late charge of $15 will be applied.

All bookings that require travel outside of the standard radius of 25km from pet sitters normal place of residence will be subjected to a fee of 0.80c/km over 25km.

Bookings during major holiday periods (all of December including into the New Years period, Easter) and some public holiday periods require a non-refundable/non-transferable 40% deposit at least 4 (four) weeks prior to service date to secure your spot. This booking fee is non-refundable/non-transferrable and is forfeit if cancellation is to occur.

**AFTERPAY cannot be used for any bookings over 3 weeks in duration due to limitations of the deposit system. If planning to use Afterpay, please notify Go-To Pet Minding of your intent. Any booking using afterpay will be required to pay in full to secure the booking.

 

V. Food Supplies

Go-To Pet Minding will not be responsible for your pets food supply during the time you are away. All food should be supplied prior, or some funds should be left to buy more food for your pets.

 

VI. Medications

Go-To Pet Minding will administer medications to pets who are ill or who require regular medications once a prescription and medical history has been sighted. This service is subject to a fee of $10/pet/24hrs.

Go-To Pet Minding requires the complete details of medication doses, route of administration and all other relevant details to be provided to the pet sitter in written form. 

 

VII. Marketing/Images

The use of images/videos of your pet/s may be used by Go-To Pet Minding for marketing or promotional uses unless Client specifies otherwise below. 

 

VIII. Vaccination, Worming and Tick Prevention

Go-To Pet Minding requires that all pets (where appropriate) must have a regular veterinarian, are up to date on all of their vaccinations and will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to service commencement. This is to be provided through our 'Pet Medical Information' form.

The Client understands that Go-To Pet Minding work with various pets, in different areas and may be exposed to various diseases/parasites. Every precaution will be taken by Go-To Pet Minding to reduce the risk of exposure to your pets from these diseases/parasites. However, the Client understands that the risk is reduced when their pet is up to date with worming, vaccinations and tick prevention and therefore in consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Go-To Pet Minding unless arising from gross negligence on the part of Go-To Pet Minding.

Go-To Pet Minding will not be responsible for pets who contract diseases/worms/ticks whilst in their care regardless of vaccination/worming/tick prevention status. All vet fees/expenses if the pet becomes unwell due to this fact are expected to be compensated to the relevant veterinary clinic as per the clinics policy/procedure. Go-To Pet Minding will not be responsible for any veterinary expenses/fees unless arising from gross negligence on pet sitters part.

 

IX. Medical/Veterinary Clauses

Go-To Pet Minding does not diagnose, prognose, or make therapy decisions, nor does it offer veterinary services (with the exception of our nail trimming services). Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinarian of the owners’ choice.

Go-To Pet Minding will not sit for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions. We suggest the pet be boarded with a vet.

 

X. Camera Add-on (Pet Cam) and Nail Trimming Add-on

Go-To Pet Minding's 'Camera Check In/Pet Cam' service add-on is subject to availability, a stable wifi connection, placement and privacy restrictions.

The Client agrees to the camera being placed in a 'Common' place, defined as a place where privacy of the Go-To Pet Minding, the pet and the home is not compromised (e.g. a lounge room, kitchen).

The Client understands that the camera does not have playback capabilities.

The Client understands that Go-To Pet Minding has the right and ability to switch the camera off with regards to privacy or other reasons (e.g. middle of the night). 

The Client understands that access to the camera is through email invitation and is revoked at the end of each service date.

Go-To Pet Minding's 'Nail Trim' add-on is subject to availability, pet temperament, safety and risk assessment.

Go-To Pet Minding will not trim nails of pets who stress, are at risk of breathing difficulties, or will bite.

Go-To Pet Minding will not trim nails of pets in extreme weather (e.g. heat).

Client accepts there is a level of risk with nail trimming and that the pets 'quick' (blood vessel inside nail) could be accidently trimmed. In this instance, Go-To Pet Minding will apply a solution (e.g. potassium permangenate, feric acid, flour, etc) to control/stop the bleeding. Client expressely waives any and all claims against Go-To Pet Minding unless arising from gross negligence on the part of Go-To Pet Minding when utilising nail trimming service.

 

Additional Conditions: Dog Walking Conditions

In addition to the above stated conditions, the following conditions apply:

 

XI. Extra Liability Policy

Client agrees to notify Go-To Pet Minding of any concerns within 24 hours of dog walking completion.

Go-To Pet Minding will not walk unruly or untrained dogs or dogs that choke themselves on their leash. All pets must be walked on a leash, no exceptions. Go-To Pet Minding cannot be responsible for pets that suffer an injury, accidental death or escape from faulty leads/harnesses/muzzles whilst on walks.

Go-To Pet Minding cannot be responsible for pets that bite, suffer an accidental death or escape from faulty fencing or from inside the home due to faulty security (e.g. locks, screens, doors, etc) when returned from the walk.

Go-To Pet Minding cannot be responsible for any complications pets may suffer or actions of pets while they are unattended before or after the walk.

Go-To Pet Minding shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet that the client has let outside or has instructed the walker to allow outside while walker is not present. This includes pets with doggie doors and outdoor pets.

XII. Dog Walking Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received within 24 hours of scheduled walk.

Go-To Pet Minding reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations. This includes unsafe conditions based on natural weather events such as rain, hail, storms or natural disasters. 

During the summer months (or any days of the year where the temperature exceeds 25 degrees celcius), Go-To Pet Minding reserved the right to cancel walking services for the welfare of the pet.

 

XIII. Walking Business Hours

Business hours fall between the hours of 7am and 6pm and services are usually completed during this time unless we are behind schedule or another arrangement has been made (due to inclement weather e.g. heat, storms, rain, etc).

 

XIV. Dog Walking Booking & Payment Arrangement

Bookings need to be made early to avoid disappointment.

Full payment must be received on date of service using SQUARE card reader, CASH or TAP to Pay option.

All bookings that require travel outside of the local 25km radius is subject to a fee of 80c/km over 25km.
